1.1.2012.I wish myself a happy new year since no living thing from the human kind propose this greeting to me.As the new day rises, I was working at the Subang Air Traffic Control Centre and in this shift, there are almost 40 controllers from different grades majority are A29s, A36s,A41 and A44.With their solemn faces there was no sound as dejectedly they had to serve the nation in the dawn of the new year.

One guy came to work almost one hour late giving naive excuse....didnt had enough sleep just becoz he'swaiting for new year fireworks! I wish God gave him a wife staright away so that every night except during 'periods', he have 'fireworks!'

Hot topic of the yesterday is the new remuneration scheme SBPA which comes effectice on the 1.1.2012. Some officers will a enjoy RM270 payrise til next increment date and some got RM27 til death.

I sign the ultimate option that is retiring at 60 years of age ( here or in the other world). My advisors from the Admin Dept suggested as it is always a better choice to hold on to a job like what President Mugabe did, he continue  spinning every now and then general elections in his country  and wins every time.

While we look down to the Africans primitives, the surgeon who planted the silicon spacer in my spine did his specialist course on Spinal Surgery in Johannesburg. His associate Dr Chong Koon Chon further his studies in Children Spinal in Down Under. When they come back, they really want to see me and I wonder how many unfortunate African Primitive & Australian Aboriginies  spines they modified before they operated my back?

Ha..ha...at least I can walk now.

30 Dec 2011.A  fateful  date as Aviation Medical Examiners Dr Salleh and Dr Jagdeev discussed the fate of my career as a professional air traffic controller or to return to a normal deskwork a goverment servant.

11am. Syukur, they pronounce me physically & mentally fit .. fulfils the 3rd Class Medical requirements to the aviation industry after the major surgery to my spine.

Now I walk tall with the grade I hold and the licence which gives me the priviledges especially the incentives and ratings allowances dat make all air traffic controllers drive posh cars and carry big stomach.

A colleage advises me not to perform active air traffic control. But I have different opinion as I regard myself a Minang Fireblade.....never giveup!. Why shd I give up, I wanted to do ATC for self satisfaction and not to be an attention seeker.

Comparing the job of ATC and Manager is like  enjoing skiing down the Swiss Alps and a beggar lingering on the streets of New Delhi looking for donors.I  stand for the statement I made for as long as a live. The present Managers are ATC by the jawatan hakiki, but they continue to seek refuge with Regional Department as long as they can , wiling todo anything   like a whore using third class PR as long as they can continue to hang to the position .

I always wanted to be  multi skilled human  and able to perform multi tasking and through my career, I hv done and prove it within the scope of my organition.I had all the live ATC live Ratings, I'd served at  HQ before and for 3 unfortunate years I serve as a Manager at an airport situated in an Opposition Controlled State, taking and deflecting all the flak aim at my No.1 in Putrajaya. I considered myself successful based on the ability to hang on.But personally ,  I hv no patience at all 'melayan' pegawai2 dari M?T or HQ' which I considered low ranking goverment servants but head as big as tyre....lorry tires who wants top class attention.

In Punjab, a friend of mine mention that Punjabis will only sit on a chair and never squat down at the roadside or in the public.Thats the ethics. And I was brought up well and brought up correctly , I couldnt avoid from looking down at these'beggers; who comes to Penang and asked for free transport , free food  (spend from the office peruntukan keraian) and buah tangan,....especially the jeruk buah.I've  never entertained all this request coz I felt, any travelling goverment officer expenses wil be reimburse by the Goverment. So, claim it base on its individual entitlement !

Other managers advised me 'layan supaya ramai kawan'. I am a person who doesnt want frinds from the cheapskate descendent of Pariahs. When I was paralysed for a month and during post surgery era when I need support, my friend who are low graded technician, taxi drivers and common people  came , helped my family and pledge to continue to support me withins their means. They did it with the name of Allah.

Integrity is the words. The social status u hold doesnt count.I  chose friends regardless of status or class but those with high moral values. In 'bahasa' a word to relate this issue is 'akhlak'. Majority of the people who deal and whom I deal with, has problem in practising the  Akhlak yang baik.

Now , like a professional, I only separate aircraft using standard methods and phrases and after I punch out my card, I could care nothing for the Organization.
